Before the visit, vacuum the furniture well, especially seams, cushions and underneath. Take off washable covers and wash them on a hot wash. Wash pet bedding and blankets too. Empty the vacuum into an outside bin.
The crew will tell you when furniture is fine to use again, which is usually once it is dry. Some fabrics or delicate pieces may be left out of the spray, and the crew will say which.
